Category: Missing you

Darkness fills the room,
Silence echoes through the gloom,
My ears catch the sound of my heartbeat,
The padded carpet under my feet.

Am I lonely or alone,
Are we ever on our own?

Muffled voices down the hall,
Suddenly I'm very small.

Humble in silence's face,
Awestruck by its powerful grace.

Amoungst the silence
There is a din,
It's only internal,
From within.

Gentle whispers in my ear,
I realise my angel's near.

I'm not lonely or alone,
We're never truly on our own.
