Feel my Pain
Poet: Anicha250
Category: Sympathy

You:
Violated my right to life
Took away those I cherished above all
Leaving the picture of my life hanging
In black and painted with blood

How much more is there you wish to take?
How do you expect me to give more?
I have nothing left to be taken away

The ache of my heart exhausts me
I have lost track of the lives you’ve stolen
My dreams, inspirations and history have been
Erased from a future that might never come

What in your manifesto empowers you
To exploit my humanity through feeding
Your delusion of righteousness

I loved life as it was

What demon told you I needed a change?
No restoration can wipe from my vision
The sight of children mourning the joy
They will never experience

What help is there for this emptiness?
The laughter that sustained me is silent
And mocks me with an echo of my own
Question forever unanswered

If you still think that you are helping me
Indulge in the enormity of my pain
I am simply your victim
You are not my savior
